NCraft is free, with no ads and no sign-up. The website offers builds outside the stores: a dmg for macOS, an msi for Windows and an apk for Android; the server bot comes as an apt package.

macOS

• Requirements: macOS 13 Ventura or later.
• Website build (dmg) — signed with Developer ID and notarized by Apple. Only this build can install a bot or a relay on your own server over ssh. Coming with the release.
• Mac App Store — not yet: NCraft is in closed testing on TestFlight. Category: Productivity.
• Store and website builds use separate storage and separate identities (by design): install both and you get two independent devices.

Windows

• Requirements: Windows 10 or 11, x64. Needs the Microsoft Edge WebView2 Runtime — already included in Windows 11.
• MSI installer from the website — installs NCraft for all users of the computer (admin rights required) and adds a firewall rule for the local subnet only; each user's data stays in their own profile. The installer isn't signed with a publisher certificate (Authenticode) yet, so SmartScreen may warn you. Coming with the release.
• Microsoft Store — not yet: the Store package is being prepared (Store ID 9PB7P7Z3P3BZ). The Store version will update through the Store.
• The Store build doesn't include installing a bot or relay over ssh; the local ui-api and everything else are there.

Android

• Requirements: Android 8.0 or later, an arm64 processor (x86_64 for emulators).
• APK from the website — signed with a permanent publisher key: a new version installs over the old one and keeps your identity and groups. Android will ask you to allow installs from this source. Coming with the release.
• Google Play — not yet. Google Play and website builds are signed with different keys and don't install over each other: switching between them means uninstalling the app first.

iPhone

App Store only — not yet: NCraft is in closed testing on TestFlight.

Fresh website builds will be listed here: version, date and file for each platform.

• macOS — dmg: coming with the release.

• Bot, Linux — the ncraft apt package: available now (see "Bot").

Bot

The NCraft bot for Linux is the ncraft package from the https://dl.ncraft.live/apt repository (Debian and Ubuntu, amd64 and arm64):

Then run sudo ncraft join <code> with a group invite code.

Languages

After installing

1. "No, create a new identity" — or "I already have an identity" if you already use NCraft: the identity comes back from the backup, from another device of yours or with the 24 words.
2. NCraft briefly points out what's where on the screen — you can close the hints.
3. To discuss websites with your team, create a group and invite your colleagues with an invite code.
