Child safety in NCraft
NCraft is a browser for working on websites with your team and clients, and it is not meant for children: it gives unrestricted access to the web and to content shared by other members of a group, and you must be at least 18 to use it (see the Terms of Use).
Zero tolerance
Child sexual abuse and exploitation are forbidden in NCraft in any form, including:
- sexual images or videos of minors, real or generated;
- grooming — befriending a child to get sexual contact or images;
- sextortion — threatening or blackmailing a child with intimate images;
- sexualising minors, or advertising or soliciting the exploitation or trafficking of children.
This is part of our Acceptable Use Rules.
What you can do
- Block the person at once and report them to the group owner, who can remove them and their content from the group (see Safety and reporting).
- Report to the authorities. If a child is in danger, call local emergency services. You can also report to the NCMEC CyberTipline (https://report.cybertip.org) or to the hotline for your country in the INHOPE network (https://www.inhope.org). Describe what you saw and where; do not attach the images or videos.
- Tell us at abuse@ncraft.live: describe what happened, which group it was in, and the name and key fingerprint of the person. Do not send us the images or videos themselves, and do not keep or forward them: describe them in words.
What we do
We cannot see content in groups, because it is end-to-end encrypted and we do not hold it. We act on what is reported to us: we review such reports first, reply to the reporter, pass reports of child sexual abuse to the NCMEC CyberTipline or the INHOPE hotline of the country concerned, and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law, within the little information we hold (see the Privacy Policy).
