Safety and reporting in NCraft
NCraft has no central moderators who read your groups: content is end-to-end encrypted on your devices, and we have no copy of it. Safety therefore rests on tools that work right away on your device, on the group owner who moderates the group, and on reports you send us. This page explains each of them.
In the app
- Block a person: open their card (the "…" menu of a member) and choose Block. You stop seeing their content on your devices at once, without anyone's approval and without a network connection. They stay a member of the group and still see what you write there.
- Report a person to the group owner: choose Report to the owner, pick a reason and add details. The report is encrypted and delivered to the owner's device when it is online. The owner sees that the report comes from you; if you prefer, report only to us.
- Report a message: in a chat, open the message's menu and choose Report message.
- Remove a member: the group owner and admins can remove a person from the group. They stop receiving anything new and cannot post; what they already received stays with them.
- Delete your own message for everyone; owners and admins can remove other people's messages in their group.
- Leave a group at any time.
- If someone acts on your screen remotely, press Stop on the banner and change their rights in Member rights. Seeing your tabs, typing, clicking and files are off unless you turned them on.
To us
E-mail abuse@ncraft.live, or tick Also tell the developer when you report: your mail app opens a prepared message that you check and send. Describe what happened and, if you want, include screenshots or a copy of the message — we cannot see group content ourselves. Do not send images of child sexual abuse: see Child safety.
We review every report. We reply, explain how to block, report to the group owner and leave, act on anything within our control, and cooperate with law enforcement as required by law. We cannot remove content from other people's devices or stop someone from creating a new identity; group owners protect their groups by approving who joins.
If someone is in immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
